22 oz bomber purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a hazy golden orange with a smallish off white head. The aroma is faint wheat grain, generic ester and clove yeast, and a decent blast of sweetness, somewhat artificial sweetness. The taste follows the nose, mostly about the weird sweetness and the esters of the yeast, though the grain and wheat to poke through a bit. The palate is medium bodied, soft natural carbonation, sweetness in the finish. When American Saisons miss, they normally miss like this. Overall, just ok.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of adnielsen. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a tiny off-white head. Nutty aroma, a little dark fruit and a whiff of yeast. Rich body, lowish carbonation, chocolate and again nuts with some roast. Subtle bitterness. An unusual Quad - sort of an Imperial Brown more. 140712

Bottle @ home. Deep brown/black appearance with a bubbly, cream head. Big fruity, plum, fig, dark berry, somewhat roasty, light chocolate, caramel, candy sugar aroma. Dark caramel, candy sugar, chocolate, red grape, raisin flavor. Not overly cloying like some quads. Pretty decent.
