On tap at Hops and Pie. Pours a cloudy orage with small white head that diminishes to nothing. Good nose with aroma of acidic red wine, funk, oak, brett. Medium mouthfeel with light brett, nice funk and light boozy finish. Good.

Tap at the brewery - turbid gold - nose of musky pineapple, mango, citrus, white grape - moderate carbonation - flavor is fairly sweet, but the complex flavors of tropical fruit make that sweetness work, especially since the sweetness is not sticky or cloying - the nelson hops add a slight spicy kick to the finish - finish of mango and papaya - decent brew, but last year’s was much better.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a clear amber with a red hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of raisin and dark fruits with some sweet grains, rum and a bit of toffee. Flavor starts with sweet grains and raisin with rum and toffee coming through in the finish.

Bottle. Almost clear golden liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of bread, white pepper, bubblegum, banana, earth and biscuit. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of bubblegum, white pepper, banana and toffee. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Weird. Too sweet.
