Bottle at home from Sainsburys. Dark amber orange colour with medium frothy/creamy white head. Smells boozy and quite fruity, apple and some bready yeast. Bit of toffee, caramel and honey too. Smells very sweet. Taste is full on sweet and bit fruity. Quite cake-like. After-taste is very much honey. Fairly full bodied, and quite nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Full Bore on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Bottle from the Food Shop in Dartington. Appearance - amber with attractive lacing. Nose - crunchy biscuit and toffee. Taste - caramel biscuit this time. Palate - rich and medium bodied. Dry sweet but roasty finish. Overall - another solid bitter, I suppose just about an ESB.

Bottle from the Food Shop in Dartington. Appearance - amber with attractive lacing. Nose - toffee, biscuit, light citrus. Taste - more of the biscuits, topped with caramel this time. A hint of orange. Palate - light to medium bodied. Crunchy middle and finish. Overall - a solid bitter (though I note loaded as a golden ale).

Bottle from the Food Shop in Dartington. Appearance - deep amber with a pleasant off white head. Nose - brown bread, possibly going rye bread. Light spice. Taste - sweet caramel note up front, then honey going into more brown bread. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. The finish could be fresher but not too bad. Overall - ultimate pale ale? Perhaps in another universe. Not even sure it's a pale ale.

[Cask at the festival at the Bull, Barkham.] A pale chestnut pour with a tight cream head; malty aroma; bittersweet malty taste with a biscuity body and some fruit; then a Garibaldi biscuit finish. A rather good bitter.
