[50cl flip top bottle bought in Wanemunde, Germany.] An amber pour with a thick cream coloured head; malty aroma; malty taste with some dark rye bread; and an acidic rye bitterness. Rather unpleasant.

Swing top Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear, deep golden with an off-white head. Dusty, lightly citrusy nose. Medium body, fruity, slightly oxidized, a hint of caramel and a bitter finish. 071221

Vielanker Winterbock, 6,7 %, Flasche von Bierselect.de. - Dunkelrotbraun, trüb. - In der Nase bocktypisch tiefes toastiges und dunkles Malz, satte karamellige Süße, Trockenaprikose und Honig, abgerundet mit milder aber frischer herbal-zitroniger Hopfung. - Antrunk schwer toastig-dunkelmalzig mit runder Karamelsüße, Noten von roten Beeren, Kakao und Waldhonig und feiner herbaler Hopfung mit leichten zitronigen Spitzen. Milder rezent, kremig vollmundig; perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang runde herbale und fein erdige Hopfenherbe. - Sehr schöner, satt malziger aber nicht plumper, fein gehopfter Bock. Schöne, dunkel orange Farbe. Etwas gekochte Früchte, etwas Weißbrotig, leicht krautig. Minimal seifig, ohne das Gesamtbild zu zerstören. Eher sämige Konsistenz.

500ml bottle in the Gassen Krug, Schwerin on 15th October 2021. Deep bronze/brown body, off-white head. Malty sweet and easy to drink for people with a sweet tooth like me.

On-tap in the Gassen Krug, Schwerin on 15th October 2021. Clear golden body, white crown on top. Malty front to the nose and taste, a slight herbal trace gives some interest, otherwise it's just a regular Pilsener. I've had it before; Green Week in Berlin, no idea which year. I remember the vehicle the used as their bar but not the beer!
