Draught. Dark brown with small spongy head, very little caramel, bitter coffee beans taste, low carbonation, thin body, long bitter finish. Not bad but not spectacular either.

Bomber - hazy straw color - soapy lace - nose has esters of pear and apple, some grape must, dusty yeast, moderate phenols of white pepper, a touch of clove - soft carbonation - subtle, well-integrated flavors of rustic grain, mildly spicy phenolics, pear, white wine - finish is moderately bitter, with slight mineral, cobweb - nicely done abbey single (though not as good as the southampton abbey single, which is kind of what I was hoping for here) - solid.

Bottle - turbid gold - rather lively carbonation - nose is kind of estery (gum, banana, tropical fruit) and surprisingly sweet, with some mild phenolics - soft texture - flavor begins with dry, grainy malt flavors - moderate acidity through the middle before closing with the mix of esters present in the nose - I was hoping for subtle complexity but got simplicity instead - not exactly a disappointment, but I would not buy it again.

Bottle. Dark brown with creamy beige head, crisp malt and caramel aroma, high carbonation, roasted malt, hops and caramel taste with a hint of coffee, longish end, bitter hops aftertaste. Interesting brew but not very reminiscent of IPAs.

Bottle - lightly hazy gold - nicely balanced DIPA - not overly bitter-abrasive or overly-sweet like many others tend to be (sometimes both) - starts with a clean, sweet citrus flavor - dries out through the middle, but the hops are very juicy and highly citric - however, they also bring a bright, quenching acidity - might not be too extreme for many fans of the style, but I really like the balance to this one.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a super pale, almost white tint and a nice, two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of alcohol, lemons, yeast, wheat, coriander seed, corn and way more wheat - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front of a herbal and grassy variety with a bit of coriander seed, some curacao, a hint of light spices and a defined and predominant wheat flavour that shows well. Aftertaste shows a nice blend of wheat, yeast and curacao, all with a very light spice touch, showing that hint of bitterness from the hops, but not overwhelming at all. Overall, a nice beer for the style with a little bitterness showing through at the end, but exactly the way it should show through, given the style. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 08-November-2014 for US$2,25 sampled at home in Washington on 16-December-2014.

Bottle shared at Kernel Brewery at Zwanze Dat 20/09/2014. Many thanks to Leighton. Viscous dark caramel coloured pour with not much of a head. Aroma is caramel, resin, citrus with a bit of melon. Flavour is compposed of caramel, some liquorice, roast and dark choc malts with piney resinous hops. Palate is low carbonation, medium ful body. Lingering tangy liquorice and bif hearty roast. Pretty ballsy

650 ml bottle purchased at Leary’s Fine Wines. Neck stamp shows bottled on 09/29/2014. Opaque with thick lasting tan head around the snifter. Aroma is charred malts, chocolate, mild burnt coffee and light pine.
Flavor is deep roasted notes with chocolate upfront. Stern rye malt thought out the sip, mild roasted coffee bean and displaying a moderate pine hop in the finish. Lingering roast and pine after then sip. Big hop profile to balance the roast and sweetness. Texture does give a creamy feel with the ABV showing mild warmth after the swallow. This brew is by far the best I have sampled from this brewery.

650 ml bottle shared by friends. Brand new 2014 vintage. Darker ruby color, thin white head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg and Christmas like spice with a thin amount of caramel.
Flavor is thin and all over the place. Traces of yeast with a malty base for the body. Yet it really is on the watery side. Spices come in on the finish, and give very minimal balance for the malt and yeast. Ummmm... Yeah, ok.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Pours a hazy pink-red with a thin fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart cherries, vegetal notes, funk, candied cherries. The taste is tart cherries, cheese, horse blanket, strong acetic sourness. Medium bodied, high carbonation.
