Cask, Gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 08-05-09 Pours mid amber with a white bubbly head, its in very good nick, really clear, looks great. Aroma is pure ’Chivers Old English Thick Cut Marmalade’ Taste is more of the same though a little thinner, alcohol is also present on the nose. Very fruity but good sweetness throughout, nice stuff. Bottle, shared by Fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a nice, small off-white head. Citrusy hops and some caramel in the aroma. The flavor is sweet, piney and citrusy. Caramel too. Good, but not impressing. Full-bodied, almost astringently bitter. Lasting bitter finish with pine and resin. A surprising English IPA. (080823)
