Reddish amber ale with no head. Chenical currant aroma with spoiled cheese and burned rubber. In mout, chemical sweet fruits, viscous and cloying, with a weird bitterness. Ouch...this is bad. A rip-off at 4.79. LCBO.

Bottle: Poured a thick black color stout with a medium creamy dark brown head with good retention. Aroma has lots of rich sweet chocolate with hints of alcohol and coffee. Taste is a well balance mix between medium sweet dark chocolate with subtle coffee note in the background with some figs/dry raisins also noticeable. Bitter hops are discernable at the end but they are well balance and not overpowering which made me enjoy this beer even more. Body has a creamy texture and is quite full and alcohol is well hidden. Wow! I knew this was a good brewer but to be honest I never expected something so good.

A hazy orange beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet grassy and hoppy. The flavor is sweet grassy combined with slight notes of metal and citrus.

2005 bottle, I assume, maybe late 2004, from Sammy, consumed 6/5/04. Standard copper-orange color, with big off-white head, decent retention, and tons of lacing, as it is unfiltered, which is encouraging to see. No real lacing, though it could be the glass. Nose of grapefruit rind, loose-leaf paper, lemon, no caramel. A bit of dry grainy malt. Begins with dry pale malt, which attempts to back the huge hops bitterness and dryness. Perfumey flavor, light dough and grapefruits mix together. Zesty, but natural carbonation. Medium body. Grapefruit lingers. Some toasty grains. Gets a bit chewy after it has breathed. Strange, as this one is ridiculously bitter, but I really enjoyed it, in part due to the low filtration, no doubt.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium brown color ale with a huge bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma is quite dominated by bitter hops. Taste is also dominated by bitter hops leaving not enough places for floral hops to really come out. Good but lacking a few thing to be great.

(Cold) hazy yellow with orangey shine; fluffy snow-white head. Very grassy, bit mouldy, not unlike German "feinherb". Dull initial pilsner taste, grainy, little bit toasted, summergrain. Aftertaste gets some hopcharacter. Slick, grist-like MF; the toasted taste nonobstinating, rather refreshing. Reasonable pilsner.

Tap: Medium brown colored ale with nice head with good retention. Aroma is quite bitter and strong malt can already be detected. Taste is bitter as expected though not as much as I would have thought but I also found out it was much more creamy then expected. Very good mouthfeel with good body and carbonation.

Bottle from LCBO ottawa. Amber ale with a nice off-white head, creamy and proteinaceous. Pleasant pinhey hops aroma, slightly sweet. Fresh hops biscuits with a nice crisp c-hop in mid tasting. Nice citrus lingering in finish. However, a bit lacking in body, a bit too light, and I agree with the others below, would gain having a bit more malt., would make the mouthfeel longer.

This was direct from the keg, courtesy of Pondoshuffles. Red copper ale with light malt and hops aroma. Intense hops, citrus, and nutty finish. Rich finish and body.

Tap: Golden colored ale with a nice huge foamy white with good retention. Aroma is quite sweet malt as well as floral hops. Taste is very good with a creamy mouth feel followed by nice sweet malts. Body is average and all of this makes it one true session beer, maybe one the best that I had the chance of drinking recently.
