Ack. Not much to say here. Aroma and taste have weak hops notes, no real balance, no citrus, no pine, no anything worth remembering (04/2012). Rerated 12/12. Pours clear light amber, medium white head, nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, floral. Flavor is the same, bit of resin, little sweet, medium bitter. Light to medium body. Getting better, still harsh

Bomber from Bevmo Camirrilo. Nose is light caramelized sugar with a sweet note and a hint of alcohol. Lightly hazy orange amber with a medium beige head. Flavor is light bitterness with some toffee and alcohol warmth. Finishes lightly bitter and with some alcohol.

Bottle. Pours with a clear, copper-orange hued body with a fading white head. Aromas are sweet, cherry, cough syrup, mild esters, alcohol, prunes, caramel, pears and very mild DMS. Flavors are alcoholic and very sweet (bordering on cloying), raisins, pears, prunes, plums and other esters. Some candy sweetness. Bitterness is high for the style and more than balances. Syrupy with medium carbonation. The best of the 1 door series.

Hazy, deep copper coloured body with a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops with a bitter resin bite and mostly a piney finish - nice and potent. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and floral hop note at first with a bit of a lemony kick, showing a good amount of malt, some sweetness at the end and the overlying hop bitterness throughout - relatively nice. Aftertaste is well balanced, having a good grassy character with not too much alcohol or bitterness, but enough to make it an ipa. Overall, perahps worth searching out for a cheap, single hop variety in a large format bottle. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from BevMo (Geary Boulevard) in San Francisco, California on 14-January-2012 for US$3.99 sampled at home in Washington on 21-March-2012 after seeing the beautiful (albeit early) Cherry Blossoms.

Bomber from Bevmo Salinas. Nose is citrus, caramel, and a hint of bubblegum. Interesting nose. Clear copper with a medium, lightly lacing, beige head. Flavor is bitter with some light, contrasting sweetness. The hint of malty bubblegum comes through all the way into the bitter finish. My favorite of their 4 single hop brews.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is light pine with a little light roast and caramel. Hazy copper with a medium nicely lacing, yellowish beige head. Flavor is super bitter with some pine tar. Finishes very bitter but in a pleasant kind of way. Different IPA.

Half liter bottle pours dark darkness with chocolaty mocha like head. The modest aroma has dark roasted malts mixing with muted spicy black licorice, molasses and a faint note of slightly singed toffee. The taste lacks a bit of body but delivers rich dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee, a bit of burnt malts and then some yummy chocolate around the edges. It does have a sense of mineral earthiness that distracts a bit from the experience. All in all a tasty treat.
