330ml can on 6th November 2021 from M&S Archway. Pours a hazy yellowy amber with lasting white foam and full lacing. Fine citrus hops in aroma. Zesty citrus in-mouth with grassy notes lasting into a crisp hoppy finish. Medium bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

On tap @Treefolks' Pub (Rome). Dorata, limpida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso note di malto, biscotto, leggero diacetile, citrico, agrumato ed erbaceo. In bocca è maltata all'attacco con chiusura amara media, non un gran spunto. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Non un granchè.

Black beer, thick head soon fizzles out. Aroma is mostly toasty malt. Flavour is malt, chocolate, a dash of anise and coffee. Maybe a vague hint of fruit, not sure. It's super drinkable though, a little lively but still feels quite smooth from the oats. Could guzzle this quite happily.

Can from M&S, Brooklands. Aroma has citrus and malts. Gold. Thin translucent white head. Medium bitter. Quinine. Tart citrus. Spice. Underlying buttery malts. But all a tad low key. Light bodied. Thin if slick. Fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Can see why this is still labelled as a Gold.

Can from M&S, Brookwood. Now 4.5% and this one is just labelled as Pilsner. But it is quite hazy, a dull gold. Thick foamy translucent white head. Bitter tinged yeasty sweet aroma. Medium-heavy bitter. Spicy. Herby. Tart citrus and quinine streak. Underlying malty hints. Light bodied. Thin. Big fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Enjoyable enough without doing overly much for me.
