Very creamy, eggwhite-like, light brown head; hazy, red-brown beer. Extremely fruity nose, woody, but also ironoxide. Very slight margarine aroma. Bitterish-woody (even some tannines) taste, brown malts, bit sourish too - ending a tad citruspeel. Well bodied, despite the thinning influence from the acidity. Aftertaste is rather sweet. A bit stereotypical stronger brown. Nothing bad, nothing really special.

Slight gushing to creamy, collapsing off-white head; golden beer with foxey shine, slight haze. Quite alcoholic, some grain, some caramel, dry, sugar-like nose. Bitterish-dry, but still sugar in the taste. Very few aroma’s - maybe some faint spicey notes (coriander?), and maybe a faint end taste of sweet frying fat. Good attenuation after all; medium bodied, very clean mouthfeel. OK beer. All OK. Just... no heart, no soul, no joy...

Dark brown opaque, but with ruby highlights; yellow-brown to beige head. Cardboard, triplex, iron and... something brown. Malts, I presume? At first, very sweet taste, cola-like. But at the same time, a greenery flavour which associates itself with parsley to me, and a short bitterish spell which is, indeed, hoppy. Then pure sugar sweet. Rather well bodied, not cloying, slight fizzy edge. Not bad for an LA. Good stepping stone towards a Flemish Oud bruin, given a little acidity.

Rocky, white head. Spare lace. Yellow, cloudy body. Nose of flawers, wine and a little bit alcohol. Metallic finish. Lightly bitter flavour.

Bottle - At De Garre, Bruges, Belgium Creamy, white head. The head disappears almost totally and delivers a good lace. Sparkling, yellow body. Nose of perfume, oragnepeels, mint, honey. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter finish.

This is a beer specially brewn for the pub 'De Blauwe Kater" in Leuven. It has a very dark colour and a white head. The sweet malty aroma is also a little bit fruity. The flavour is malt, smeet with quite a malty aftertaste.
