bottle from Bièrerie Illkirch-Graffenstaden. Deep bropwn, almost black, with a tall and creamy beige-brown head. Dark malts dominate, cocoa, chocolate, roesty flavours, shy hints of espresso coffee and dried fruit. Earthy, bitter hops in the lingering finish. Dark, bitter-sweet overall character. Smooth and velvety on the palate.

Bottle at home, 11th February 18. Pours cloudy orange, small head. Aroma is lemon sherbert, you could imagine lemon meringue tart. Taste is clean, quite clever, lemon, bread or pastry, bitter and tart, refreshing bitter lemon finish. Interesting IPA
