24-03-18 // taster at Craft Frankfurt 2018. Deep red coloured beer. Lovely berry fruity nose. Taste is strong rasperry berries, sweetsour fruit juicy, lactose, vanilla in the end. This is great!

Bouteille 33cl de Malt Attacks, BB 10/2022. Complètement plat, huileux doré au verre. Arôme est tourbé très marqué, chocolaté, cendres, boiled mushrooms, sous-bois .... ok, il manque l'esprit de Noël de l'étiquette ou encore l'effet de 'brown ale'??? Petite touche de boiled peanuits en rétro / noisettes en farine. Palais est épais - huileux, boozy, cendre, tourbé avec effet sucre résiduel marqué, le tout n'est pas aidé par le manque complet d'effervescence, chocolaté avec côté érable discret - vu sur l'étiquette sinon pas capable de le noter. Amertume fine, tirant sur léger citronné. Fini sur effet cendre, umami rappelant des champignons chanterelles. Terrible, voire honteux, d'oser mettre ça sur le marché vu la platitude de ce breuvage. J'attendais bcp mieux de Piggy.

On tap at Express de Lyon Paris. Black beer dark dark brown. Lasting cream head. Big coffee aroma. Big coffee in the mouth. Some dark malts but not a heavy mouthfeel. Good coffee finish. Coffee throughout. It's a coffee stout some bitter sting on the finish.

Bouteille 33cl @ Niamey's monthly craft beer tasting. BB 25/10/2027, ils ont du faire erreur. Dorée, col blanc. Arôme offre un excellent bouquet de café, grillé à souhait, grains concassés avec une touche espresso et un fin citronné en rétro-nasal. Palais est malté, pâle et pils, petite touche grillé, caramel, excellent café le tout versant plus sur la back ipa que simple ipa au café. Petite note agrumes renforce le tout avec un léger côté pamplemousse.

Pours thick and gluppity from the bottle. Brown, syrupy and lacking any sign of a crown. Aroma is smoked bacon and maple syrup. Taste is salty sweet, full of maple syrup, soy sauce and bacon grit. Body is thick, syrupy, sticky and goes down with an unforgiving feel. This isn’t really the beer, just the sludge that formed up somewhere in the pipes. Interesting enough to make me finish the glass and ponder its multi-faceted layers of sick despair, but not very appealing.
