Bottle at home from La Cave a Bulles, 16th March 18. Pours a dirty, murky dark brown. Aroma is great, ashy, cocoa, citrus. Taste is gritty, cocoa, bitter, citrus, tongue numbing, bitter hops. Delicious and very generously hopped BIPA.

Tap at Hoppy Corner, Paris, 14th March 18. Pours light straw, no head, aroma is tropical fruit, mango. Taste is fresh, sherbert, bitter lemon, nice tingly carbonation. Good beer.

Bouteille 33cl avec une BB de 11/02/3022 ... erreur ? Dorée virant sur léger paille, col blanc et léger gusher. Arôme sur un bouquet de grains, léger fumé sur une petite pointe acidulée - fleuri houblonné plutôt fruité et finement épicé - anisé. Palais est citrique sans être trop surfait, petite note de fumé, malt pils, houblonné modéré se mélangeant bien à la base acidulée - retrouve léger fruité agrumes - fleuri et finement épicé. Effervescence est moyenne.

Bouteille 33cl de Malt Attacks. Rosé sur léger trouble, col fin blanc. Arôme offre un bouquet assez plaisant niveau fruité et un côté Berliner restant plutôt modéré par rapport à certaines versions outre-atlantique; donc un bon plus ici. Nez offre de petites notes farineuses venant de la levure. Palais est léger sur de fines pointes aigres - sour mash restant fines mais donnant tout de même un léger effet citrique.Le côté mûre et baie est bien là et apporte une belle note fruitée avec un élément fleuri. Râpeux en fin de bouche.

330 ml. bottle. Bottled 10/2017. Very dark brown faint ruby hue syrup with no head. Nose is extremely gravy, soy sauce, very syrupy, herbs cooked in soy sauce, extreme gravy,… stupidly thick sludge mouthfeel, pure soy sauce, gravy, umami, pot roast, umami, faintest sweetness cookie in the back. Like drinking a very thick alcoholic gravy, very weird, not really what I expected from a maple syrup Christmas beer. Way, way too gravy with soy sauce, thick syrup mixed in. Maple is barely there in the back & obscured by all the rest.
