Description

Bottle thanks to hauxe. Hazy straw pour with a white head. White grape, acidic, funk, mineral notes, interesting.

Bottle. Chill-haze pale golden, low white head. Fruity secco nose - grape, lychee, gooseberry, light farm. Medium light sparkly dry body. Light yeasty fruit, peach , lychee, grapes in subtle balance. Citrus peel retronasal. Fresh, refined.

Bottle from Jonas, thanks! Quite clear gold on first pour, small head. Nice nose of sour/Brett, sooner fruits, light bubblegum. Flavor is a huge bombastic taste explosion: light candi sugar, tangy sour, bitterness and Brett notes at the end. An awesome and very tasty farmhouse.

Wow, sour AF. Only 8% passion fruit puree but tastes like fresh squeezed juice with lactic acid and yeast.

Bottle. Wine Rack Sheffield. Fridge clear out job. Also I wasn’t having a beer today until I realised it’s the 20th anniversary of driving trains for a living. To me that definitely warrants a beer! Anyhoo. This is nice enough. Grape skins. Bit of lacto. Bit earthy and grassy. Drinks decent at half past midnight stood up in the kitchen. Toot toot.

Bottle. Hazy amber brown, golden lacing cream. Pumpernickel mineral, spice bread aroma. Medium full body, mellow creamy mouthfeel. Rye bread, honey, broad chewy malt notes, mineral/earthy, some fruitiness, ciitric, light herbal finish. Nice with a proper malt-forward beer again.

330 ml can. Cloudy dirty orange, foamy head. Fermented hay, loads of grapefruit and grapefruit zest, lactic acid, lemon acid. Extreme zesty bitterness and sourness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, zesty bitter finish. Not for me.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours muddy brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of red wine and charcoal. Taste is woody, red wine, red fruit. Not much stout action. Dry finish. Interesting, but there's a lingering sense that someone's just chucked a few bottles of red wine into a barrel of imp stout!
