Bottle. Murky muted orange color with white head. Aroma is hay indeed, yeastcake, barn. Taste is sandcake, earthy hay again. Very weird mouthfeel, it's covering your tongue all over. Weird one.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', bottled in November 2020. Slightly hazy, deep ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, gently funky and rather vinous aroma of red wine, blackcurrant, black pepper, oak and a touch of leather. Slightly sweet, moderately sour, fairly vinous, woody, rather spicy and gently funky taste of red wine, oak, black pepper, blackcurrant and leather, followed by a medium long, rather vinous, quite spicy, gently funky, very woody-dry finish. Medium body, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite complex, astonishingly rather quaffable, interestingly very spicy as well. Good!

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, light mahogany, ruby colour with small to average, frothy, fading, dark ochre head, a ring of tiny bubbles remains at the bezel. Vinous, fruity aroma with sweet-ish and sour-ish aspects, notes of dark fruit and berries, black cherry, plum, lingonberry, morello, black raspberry, a touch of plum butter, mild. bretty, funky overtones. Taste is moderately sweet-and-sour fruity, slightly dry woody, mildly bretty, funky, vinous fruitiness with notes of dark fruit and berries, black cherry, plum, lingonberry, morello, black raspberry, blackcurrant, a spicy touch of black pepper and nutmeg, subtle malty hints of milk chocolate, weak oaky overtones; well hidden alcohol. Watery and minimally oily texture, dry, minimally astringent palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Wonderful composition, rich, complex and manifold, well balanced, dangerously drinkable - excellent!

Bottle. Murky amber, fizzy, low white head. Fine citric, earthy hay-like and bretty aroma. Moppy entry - wet sand and ligtly burned cake/cpookie, spongy mushroom notes, woden, grassy hop finish. Medium body, sparkly. Quite strange one.

24-04-21 // 330ml bottle shared. Brett immediately present in the aroma. Some dry riesling white wine notes and indeed a farmhouse funk vibe. ABV well hidden. Lovely hybrid.

A hazed golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light passion fruit, Epsom salts, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light passion fruit, resinous hops, fruity esters, pleasant. Bottle.

Bottle at home, 23rd April 2021. Pours a murky, dark red brown purée. Aroma is berry, plum skin, tart. Taste is fruit skins, stone of fruits, plum, tart and unripe, wood, funk and sour. It’s really complex and pretty sour. Excellent again from Flugge.

330ml bottle. Murky, orangey, tan colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty as well as herbal-grassy, fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of red apple, a touch of gooseberry, white grapes, melon, whiffs of hay and sorrel. Taste is tart-ish, mildly bitter, fruity and grassy hoppy, hints of red and yellow apple; unpleasant, bitter, medicamentous finish. Creamy, mushy texture, smooth and super soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Interesting composition with typical Flügge inventive digressiveness and excellent mouthfeel; the chalky, medicamentous, bitter finish sadly ruins the consumption considerably - still OK.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy red, big foamy head. Straight-forward red currant, fermented cabbage, lemon juice, fermented hay, barnyard. Acidic sourness. Medium bodied, oily creamy texture, soft carbonated, dry sour fruity finish. Nice!

Sweetish, quite fruity, gently funky aroma of lots of hay, apricot, some brett and dust. Slightly sweet, moderately, minimally sourish, gently fruity-floral, slightly funky taste of massive hay, apricot, dust and husk, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally tart, rather dry, gently funky finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. This is just too much of that hay. It's quite interesting as I've never tried something similar before but it's far from enjoyable. What's the sense of putting hay in a beer anyway?!
