Description

Bottle from Flügge. Hazy golden, low white head. Gooseberry, light rural, cleaner. Medium body, sparkly, red and green berries, grapeskin, doughy notes, hay, quite funky tart, very drinkable.

Bottle. Rather clear golden color with white head. Aroma is funk, earth, manure, very interesting, some green gooseberries. Taste is earthy, barn, nicely refreshing, not aggressively sour at all. Sparkly carbonation. Nice one!

08-04-20 // bottle from the brewery. Great Berliner Weisse. Traditional style with old yeasts. True to style. Green apples are light present in the nose. Mild dry brett, bret very well embedded present but no domination. A grain smoothness.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, bottled in January 2020. A little hazy, golden with a thin, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, fruity aroma of lemon, rhubarb and a touch of grains. Minimally sweet, gently sour, quite fruity taste of lemon, rhubarb, some grains and traces of sauerkraut, followed by a short, gently tart, moderately dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pleasant, well-balanced and refreshing Berliner Weisse, don't get anything of the brett unfortunately.

Bottle at home in the garden, 5th April 2020. Pours a smoothy looking dirty brown colour, big head. Aroma is fruity, some yeast. Taste is macerated fruit, quite sweet, light yeast, breast, lack of clarity and brightness of the fruit and the beer in general, thickish mouth feel, it’s not what I expected, not much tartness from the plums, and some what lacks direction and bite.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, bottled in December 2019. Hazy, golden amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, quite funky, gently fruity and floral aroma of peach, barnyard, some hay and a touch of lemon peel. Gently sweet, malty, quite funky, gently fruity and floral taste of peach, barnyard, lemon peel, some gooseberry, light clove and a touch of banana, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, rather funky, gently dry finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. One of the best beers from Flügge in my opinion, the brett - unlike in some other beers from them - fits in really well and adds a lot of depth to it. Good!

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, bottled in January 2020. Gusher! Slightly hazy, golden amber with a thin, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, rather fruity and a little funky aroma of ripe apples, some quince, hints of lemon and traces of hay. Quite sour, fairly fruity, slightly funky taste of ripe apples, quince, some lemon, a touch of rhubarb and traces of sourdough, followed by a medium long, quite tart, fairly dry and a little funky finish. Thin to medium body, gently astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant beer, very refreshing and thirst-quenching, a little more funk would have made it a bit more complex.

Huge, dense white head over muddy light-yellow beer. Lemon, lemonester & pharmaceutical aromas; the odour is somewhat artificial, as if synthesized. Sweeter, softer, milder lemonflavour, like lemonbonbons. Effectively wild yeast features rounding off. Quite slick, near buttery feel, light to medium bodied, medium to well-carbonated. Weird.
