Cask at the Windsor and Eton brewery taproom. Poured a clear almost black colour with a round bubbly tan head. The aroma is big coffee and roasted malt. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, tonka, coffee, light chocolate, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 06/02/22. Reddish brown to maroon ... not quite purple for me topped with a beige cap. Nose is dusty red berries, hops, toasted malts, cola cubes, grains. Taste comprises sweet malts, blueberries, red berries, Ribena, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. So so ... overly sweet for my liking.

Cask at Furnace, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal cream head. Marshmallows and hints of chocolate in the aroma. In the mouth it has a milky texture with flavours of vanilla, cocoa and roast malts, plus some dark fruits underneath it all. There are some subtle spices too, and the finish is reminiscent of aniseed. This is quite simply gorgeous !
