Cask at the 9th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours black with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Medium to heavy sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium plus body, very soft carbonation, smooth/oily texture. Decent.

Keg at the Plasterers Arms, Norwich. Pours almost black with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, liquorice, alcohol, dark fruit and a touch of spiced rum. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft to flat carbonation, very good.
