Can from Greg and Jane's Deep brown with faint light at the edges as a tan head that quickly dissipates. Bready toasty toffee and light brown sugar against an earthy fruitiness. Pretty nice English style sipper.

33cl stubby from the brewery pours a thick black with some just-off-white head. Nose is rough at first but opens to molasses, tar, malt, toast, booze. Flavor is heavy tar and burnt caramel, toast, booze, big barrel. Where is the coconut? Full bodied, prickly finish.

50cl bottle pours a burnt orange with some frothy, white head. Nose has orange peel, potpourri, lemony notes, orange wine, some soggy bread, neutral wood. Flavor has the grains and soggy bread, a little earthy cheese, lots of lemon and orange rinds. Finishes dry. Cool.

Keg at Novare Res - Portland. During the Duke stag. Pours clear gold with a tight, creamy white head. Flaked wheat in the nose, hay, mild yeast expression. Light sweet flavour, very clean, with a little grassy bitterness, bread crust. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderately drying in the finish, with some more crispy wheat, bread crust, grass, tangerine rind. Solid.

Pours gold into a Sam glass. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet fruity malt aromas. Crisp and dry with rice and earth front to back. Becomes cloying as it warms.

Cask at GBBF 2019. Sweet malty aroma. Hazy honey amber. A few bubbles. Light bitter. A tad sour. Medium bodied. Slick. Astringent finish. Doesn't do much for me.
