Description
Binghams Brewery opened its doors in 2010 and was located in the Berkshire village of Twyford. We’ve been brewing quality cask ales across the spectrum from lighter thirst slaying session beers (3.7%) to something with a bit more oomph (5.0%).
Moved to Woodley in 2020, brewing ceased shortly after.

Tap at Tilly Shilling (JDW), Farnborough. A slightly sweet aroma... I think. Pretty bland - flat Irn Bru. Some frogspawn head clings to inside of glass. Bitter sweet taste. Some hoppy bitterness at first but the smooth finish gets caramel/melon sweet. Surprisingly dense mouthfeel. I quite like the finish but a bit of a damp squid. But then... get to the finish again and, yeah, it’s the right side of sweet.

Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Pours dark, small tan head. Aroma is lightly sweet, chocolate, faint roast. Taste is smooth, very light milk chocolate, very soft dark malts. No real discernible vanilla in the taste, although there is a subtle sweetness. Decent pintworthy stout, but nothing outstanding.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. A straw coloured pint with a loose white head; aroma of damp straw and eastern European hops, reminiscent of a strong lager; buttery in the mouth with an immediate spicy bitterness and a bready body; then a long bitter finish, with a slight grainy sourness. Proof that golden ales don’t need to be citrusy.

Cask at Prince of Wales, Farnborough. 05/07/16. A hint of aroma - weak coffee. Dark and deep - would send the painter from the Fast Show off on one. But scored at 3 only due to the weak beige head. Sweet tasting - the macchiato reference is accurate. A bitter undertone, carbonation on the tongue. Surprisingly light in body. I likes, but a tad sweet.
