Description
Binghams Brewery opened its doors in 2010 and was located in the Berkshire village of Twyford. We’ve been brewing quality cask ales across the spectrum from lighter thirst slaying session beers (3.7%) to something with a bit more oomph (5.0%).

Moved to Woodley in 2020, brewing ceased shortly after.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 22/12/2016. Near black, with a small, beige, head. Coffee beans some vanilla oak, toasty malts and some creamy sweetness before a dryish finish. Very good, Binghams certainly know how to brew stouts.

Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival. Black colour, beige head. Pleasant aroma of vanilla, chocolate and moderately roasted malts, hints of mild coffee. Very nice flavour, moderately sweet, again notes of vanilla (but not too much), chocolate and mild coffee.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. An attractive, bright, pale amber pour with a tight cream head; peachy aroma; thick and oily mouthfeel, with some caramel malts masked by a dry, fruit-kernel bitterness; followed by a long dry finish with some pine needles and almond. Lacking the force and freshness I usually associate with NZ hops, but nevertheless pleasantly hoppy.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. A straw coloured pour with a thin white head; grassy aroma; sweet grassy taste to start, but then developing a deep woody bitterness with a tocuh of peppery spice. An unusual hop.
