Description
Binghams Brewery opened its doors in 2010 and was located in the Berkshire village of Twyford. We’ve been brewing quality cask ales across the spectrum from lighter thirst slaying session beers (3.7%) to something with a bit more oomph (5.0%).

Moved to Woodley in 2020, brewing ceased shortly after.

Cask at the 13th Egham Beer Festival. Bright chestnut with a loose cream head; christmasy, cinnamon, aroma; sweet, nutty, and malty in the mouth, with some cinnamon that isn’t overpowering; then a dry, spicy, warming finish. Well balanced.

Gravity Dispense at Merchants Inn Beer Festival, Rugby - 31/10/12. Light black/very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that soon clears to nothing. Nose of roast malt, chocolate and vanilla - as it says on the tin! Taste follows nose, malty, chocolate and vanilla. Medium bodied with light carbonation and smooth.

Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012 (thanks to cgarvieuk for sharing a splash!). Dark brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is mild roasted malts, some citrus, grass and mild nectary notes along with some ashy notes. Flavour begins with being rather nice roasted malts, toffee, ashes, liquorice and mild fudgelike notes and finishes nutty, fruity, grassy and herbal.

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Deep mahogany in colour with an attractive cherry red gleam, and a tight tan head; aroma of crystalised stem ginger; smooth and full-bodied with a thick chocolate body that wraps itself around the spicy ginger - just like a chocoalte ginger in fact; the finish is dry and lightly ginger with some underlying coffee grounds. A rather elegant stout that doesn’t overdo the ginger, but makes sure that its presence is felt.

Bottle from Jacks Westholme Stores, Goring-on Thames, Oxon consumed at Bromyard Folk Festival, Bromyard, Herefordshire Saturday 8th September 2012 Dark dark brown with light beige head. Bit of a constant volcano on the pour, with a continual larva frothy head oozing. Nice chilli kick that is done well and adds to, rather than overtakes the overall drinking pleasure. Some chocolate, smooth, gentle warmth again from the chilli, very nice stout, In fact really nice. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Cask at the Rose and Crown, Sandhurst. A reddish copper pour with a dense cream head; citrus and pine aromas; certainly American in style, bursting with resinous hops, and a thick, oily, body; the finish is pleasantly bitter, and slightly spicy. Tasty, and well worth looking for.

Cask at the Crispin, possibly the best pub in Wokingham! Poured a lovely clear golden brown with a thin white head and lots of lace. Little in the way of an aroma, but a very smooth malty bitterness in the taste with citrus notes. A very drinkable and refreshing beer indeed. Nice when it's a little on the cool side too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
