Cask at the Greyhound, with Barbara, Peter and Mariska, 18th March 22. Pours deep dark brown, quite full bodied. Aroma is nutty, malts, caramel. Taste is rich and full, bitter, caramel and nutty, roasted malts. Nice

Cask at the Old Oak, Holmer Green, 05/03/22. Clear amber to copper with a good sized lasting egg shell white cap, full glass lacing ensues. Nose is malt forward, biscuit, candied fruit peel, toffee crisp. Taste comprises biscuit malt, dried fruits, fruit cake mix, dates, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter edge. Decent cask amber.

Cask: Poured a coppery with a off white head. Aroma is citrus, fruity, malts. Taste is light bitter, citrus.

Tap at the Rebellion Taproom. Poured a clear dark brown colour with an everlasting frothy, light tan head. The aroma, is roasty malt, light smoke. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, light caramel, earthy, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Rebellion taproom. Poured a clear dark chestnut colour with a short-lived, frothy, tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, woody hops. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a rich, malty, earthy, light liqourice bitter, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a loose white head; orangey aroma; oily orange taste; and a light pithy bitterness to finish. A tasty golden ale.

Cask at The Pennsylvanian (Wetherspoons), Rickmansworth, Herts. A dark brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Malty, caramel, dark fruit aroma and taste. Very thin and watery, disappointing.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A bright tawny pour with a loose cream head; malty aroma; malty taste with some burnt toffee; and a gentle bitter finish with a touch of spice and some red fruit. A pleasantly old fashioned bitter.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale golden pour with a tight cream coloured head; lemony citrus aroma; sweet bready body with a lemon drizzle taste; and a malty finish with a pithy bitterness. A pleasant session bitter.
