[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a thin beige head; malty aroma; taste of biscuity malt and caramel; then a peppery bitterness before a malty finish.

Cask at Heidrun, HW, 27/08/21. Clear golden orange with a good sized just off white head. Nose is pale malts, tangerine, straw, crackers. Taste comprises orange peel, airy malts, light perfume, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close Typical rebellion seasonal affair ... well constructed just not that exciting but an easy going cask affair.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale golden pour with a tight white head; malty aroma; strongly fruity in the mouth, but it’s hard to distinguish the tastes- perhaps there’s some damson jam in there somewhere; rounded off with a crisp dry finish. Best Reb monthly offering I’ve had for a while.

Keg at the Tap Yard, Rebellion brewery, 26/07/21. Clear golden with a good sized white cap that stays for the show… carbonation well evident. Nose is lemon rind, toasted grains, herb, coriander, straw. Taste comprises lemon peel, hedgerow, herb, grass, light white peppery spice, hint floral, light banana essence. Medium bodied, fine to spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Solid refreshing Wit.

Bottle from Hive, Crowthorne. Aroma is malty, with a sour berry edge. Opaque red tined chestnut. Bubbly foamy off-white head. Light-medium sour berries before the malts make their entrance. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average-soft carbonation. Long dry finish. Slips down.

Bottle from Hive, Crowthorne. Aroma is primarily malty (twig pusher brewery) with with some pine and an eggy streak. Amber. Frothy translucent white head. Light bitter. A touch of sourness. Malty. Boiled veg. Spice. Light. Slick if thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Basic stuff.

Bottle from The Hive, Crowthorne. Aroma is gluey, boozy, with underlying vege hints. Opaque dark chestnut. Thick foamy light beige head. Medium bitter. Low key sour edge. Underlying caramel and nuts. But it's the raw boozy bitterness that prevails. Light bodied. Slick but thin. It wants to be sticky but doesn't quite manage it. Long very astringent finish. A bit of a mess - no restraint.

Bottle from The Hive, Crowthorne. Aroma of sweet berries and watery chocolate milk. Opaque cola brown. Thick frothy beige head. A sour tube to the sweet taste. Could be visa versa. Indistinct. The sweetness eventually prevails. Develops a nougat streak. Berries and chocolate milk as per aroma. Light-medium bodied. Watered down creamy mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Weak stout. Overly sweet for. Another beer that really doesn't do it for me from Rebellion but at least it has some character.
