Description
Burdock brewery set up shop in what used to be an old Portuguese chicken restaurant, and they transformed the space into an artist-driven bar/restaurant/music hall/microbrewery run by a group of musicians and music lovers. They offer a rotating list of clean pale ales, complex saisons, crisp pilsners, zippy sours, and beer-wine hybrids that are all brewed in house.

Some haze, pale. Thin head. Clean and bready pale malt. A touch warm. Decent. Good balance, moderate bitterness. Again, though, it is the well-extracted malts.

Cloudy, not much head, pale. Grapey, stone fruit and a hit of brett on the nose. Tart, bretty, and with a touch of malt. Fresh bug notes. Slight woody note in the finish. Nice blend.

Dullish pale amber, with slight haze. Fruity hop aroma, but on the palate it's more bitter and with that sort of vague malt you get in a non-alc. So there's some promise but it's still a non-alc and that feels limiting.

Bright, deep amber colour. Thin head. Rich amber malts, giving me caramel, light sugars, rich bread crust sort of malt. Medium bitterness and medium body. Nice lager.
