27.11.13 Bottle 375ml Saveur. Deep amber color, good beige head. Strong Nelson Sauvin aroma: kiwi, lychee, passion fruit, kind of smokey hints. Medium-bodied. Citrusy front, then sweet tropical fruity Nelson Sauvin flavor. Some backing alcohol and light funky tartness. Good beer, although not so trendy anymore.

Thanks to ThirstyBird. Nose is hoppy-malty. The beer starts quite malty, the hop-aroma comes there second, but not too intense. The bitterness is there before the hop-aroma, Slightly sweet. The aftertaste is long, a bit sweet, but the hop-aromatic is too low. Bitter aromatic finish! --> nice IPA, but could be much more hop-intense beside the nice bitterness!! --> 8/12/8/8

Pours a warm brown tone. Very cloudy, and I was actually pretty gentle with the pour, so I assume it’s the wheat. Big light khaki head. Dissipates fairly quickly leaving some lacing. The aroma is big on tropical fruit, grapey Nelson Sauvin and earthy Belgian flavors. It’s all a bit milder than I’d like, though. I wonder if this beer would be better fresh as can be. The taste has a lot of doughy, toasty malt. Very bread. Nice Nelson fruitiness, sweet and rich. Gets fairly medicinal and a bit plasticky as it warms. Lots of flavors that don’t quite mesh. Mouthfeel is full and a bit fizzy. I liked this beer for a brief time as it warmed but it went from too mild to too medicinal quickly. It needs a lot more hop character and less funny yeast notes.

A coppery beer with a big, dense and blond head. The nose of fruits, sweet strawberrymarshmellows, some tropical fruits and black currants, hint of yeasty sourness. Interesting and fresh aroma. Taste of fruits, wheat and tartness, some spices and black currants. Medium bodied, quite easy to drink. Fruifull wheat beer, quite nice.

Pours amber with a small head.Nose shows herbal and spicy hops, Belgian phenols, pear and soft clean malt.Flavours are very Belgian, lots of spicy notes and soft pear. Some hoppy bitterness in the finish.Body feels a bit watery.

Pours amber with a large head.Nose shows floral, spicy and grassy hops along with some biscuity and bready malt.More of the same malt as flavours, with not much of the aforementioned hops though.Carbonation is much too high.

Bottle picked up at ’Jacks’, Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon. Consumed at a wonderful house owned by the Blackwell family in Appleton, Oxon, Saturday 31st August 2013 Great label but a rather average beer. Typically Belgian with some spice, yeast and a little buzziness, gold/light amber in colour, it’s absolutely fine but with few interesting or distinctive features that set it apart from 101 other Belgian beers doing the same thing. Nice but nothing earth shattering. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov12 3.3

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Floral aroma, quite fruity, yeast, spices etc. Sweet flavour, quite bitter, malts. Bit thin. Malty, light bitter finish. Brilliant label!
