[Cask (gravity pour) at the Basingstoke Beer Festival 2024] A pale chestnut pour; biscuity malt aroma; biscuity malt taste; a trace of citrus to finish. Doesn't seem to be abundantly hopped.

Cask at Babington Arm, Derby. Pours golden amber with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly traditional hops with a smattering of marmalade. In the mouth there is a brief initial burst of sweetness before hoppy bitterness kicks in. There is a smooth creamy texture with malts also present in the flavour alongside hints of citrus (mainly oranges) and bread rolls. Bitterness lasts into the slightly dry finish. This is a decent historical IPA.
