Description
Inspired by the Wiltshire landscape surrounding us, we work towards being the most sustainable brewery that we can be. Most importantly, when we began and with the right tools in our hands, we knew that we could create a mighty fine pint. A small team then set about with a vision for handcrafting ales from plough to pint. Using barley from our fields and chalk-filtered water from our own source, we’re bigger and bolder than we were then, but with the same knowledge that nothing quite beats the taste of a decidedly good pint after a long day.

Cask half-pint in a Shrewsbury Wetherspoons on 7th Mar 2016. Amber body with an off-white topping. Fairly bland overall, malt lead in both the nose and taste with the hops playing catch up to balance the blend out a little. One of three half pints I had that could have been inter changed they were all so uninteresting and uninspired taste and aroma wise.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Golden amber with a loose cream head; woody cask aroma; sweet and warming with a touch of rum fudge; then rather thin and dry; with some vanilla in the finish. I’m not really sure about this, as there’s little sign of the expected chocoalte, and no hint of any spices.
