Description
Sam and Maudeline Black are a husband and wife team who started their brewing company Blacks Brewery in 2013. This venture/obsession first began many years ago when Maudeline gave Sam a beer making kit for Valentines Day. What started as a hobby quickly developed into an obsession and thus through Sam’s passion and enthusiasm Blacks Brewery became reality. Living the dream since 2013! In 2015 the Distillery was added. We are Ireland's first co-located micro brewery and Distillery.

Flaska inköpt i Dublin. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med gräddvitt skum. Kakig, brödig doft med en hint av grape. Kakigheten återkommer i smaken. Ganska beskedlig men god britt-ipa.

Many thanks to Beersiveknown for this can! Fruity-fresh beginning. Lots of floral hops. Pine, resin. Tropical fruit, moderate grainy body, not too sweetish, grainy-fresh. Great floral profile, fresh and great.

Medium sweet flavor with some dried leaves, bread, old toffee. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming in the finish with more leafy hops, toasted bread, grain, caramel. Meh.

Bottle from Dunnes, Longford [200315]
Copper dark amber, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of citrus zest, caramel matls, dab of toffee malt, resinous hops, some fruity malt, sweet caramel
Taste of caramel, hop resins, citrus zest, lots of bitter hops, much more bitter than fruity, quite malty, robust flavour
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, fairly oily, sweet malts, lots of bitter hops, alcohol fairly noticeable. Finish is very bitter (but not too much) with the sweet malt in background keeping it in check
Overall - Prefer IPAs less malty than this, but it’s decent enough. Plenty of punch.
