Description
In 1992, in deepest Hexhamshire, Northumberland’s oldest brewery was formed, with one clear mission: to create wonderful beers using traditional methods and simple, high quality and locally sourced ingredients.
A small range of beers are brewed at any one time; a core selection of firm favourites surrounded by several seasonal ales and specially commissioned and bespoke brews.

Nice foam on a clear medium gold body. Soft honey and biscuit on the nose. Taste is a very weak cereal, slight grain sweetness, okay carbonation but otherwise wet. Really unmemorable, even for a low key ale.

Modest copper body and okay foam. Mellow sweet cereal malts, soft light biscuit on the nose, slight caramel. Taste is mellow cereal grains, soft malt sweetness. Ends crisp and full. Not bad, a little casual.
