Bottle from Northumberland Gifts. Mahogony with small beige head. Malty aroma with bread crust, nuts, faint prickly hops. Taste is deeply malt driven, light roast, brown bread, nuts, toffee, light leafy hopping. Near medium bodied, smooth, fine carbonation. Reasonable malt flavoured layers but could do with more hops.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Mostly clear gold with small consistent white top, good lacing. Aroma of citrus (more the sharp lemon end of spectrum), biscuit, cereal, sweet floral notes. Taste follows; its sweet, citric, light resin edge, biscuit, light prickly spice edge, moderate bitterness. Light bodied and very quaffable. Good stuff.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Clear amber with a nice fluffy white top. Aroma of caramel, hints of chocolate, hay, quite sweet. Quite sweet and grainy in taste, caramel, a vague stewed fruit, some fustiness and spice from the hops. Medium bodied, light stickiness, fine carbonation. It's one of those beers that grows on you after a while. This one has a reasonable moreish quality.
