Description
Siren Craft Brew exists to encourage more people to enjoy, fall for and experiment with craft beer.
The Sirens of Greek mythology would entice mariners with their magical songs. Their voices would entwine into a complex, layered melody. At Siren Craft Brew, we work in a similar way, combining four ingredients that interact together in magical ways to create our ales. Each beer is individual, overflowing with flavour, aroma and texture. Each holds its own secret. Each is a little dangerous.
Liquid Mistress, Under Current, Sound Wave and Broken Dream are here to tease, sway and persuade. They gently beckon you to a new world of taste. Let yourself be carried away. Be enticed…

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington. It pours black with a small light tan head. The nose is rich coffee, roasted malt, earth, mild acidity, touch of spice, dark chocolate and faint soy sauce notes. The taste is rich-roasted malt, earth, toast, spice, light alcohol, lots of coffee, liquorice, resin, dark chocolate and faint tobacco with a dry, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich, flavoursome and pretty damn tasty.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Islington. It pours cloudy golden yellowwith a minimal white head. The nose is fresh lemon, Seville orange, zesty, tropical fruit and some underlying sweetness. The taste is lemon, sweet lemonade, orange, sherbet, zesty and faint tanginess. Medium body and fine carbonation. Just a touch too sweet for me really, I would love a good deal of tartness to it. Still rather smooth and refreshing.

Cask at CBC, Islington. It pour hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, wood, resin, booze, tropical fruit, lime and fruit cocktail. The taste is pine, resinous, syrupy, mango, big alcohol, apple, pear and tinned fruit with a dry, bitter finish. Full body, soft carbonation and viscous, sticky mouth-feel. Rather rough and ready. Smells rather nice, but it is a bit too boozy and cloying for my liking.

Keg at CBC, Islington. It pours hazy golden-amber with a small white head. The nose is pine, tropical fruit, orange, tangerine, sherbet, marmalade and varnish. The taste is orange, tangerine, mango, pine, big on the booze front, resinous, honey, light caramel and varnish. Full body, fine carbonation and slightly cloying mouth-feel. Yeah it is flavoursome, but I think the booziness detracts from the flavour. A big beer indeed.
