Description
Siren Craft Brew exists to encourage more people to enjoy, fall for and experiment with craft beer. The Sirens of Greek mythology would entice mariners with their magical songs. Their voices would entwine into a complex, layered melody. At Siren Craft Brew, we work in a similar way, combining four ingredients that interact together in magical ways to create our ales. Each beer is individual, overflowing with flavour, aroma and texture. Each holds its own secret. Each is a little dangerous. Liquid Mistress, Under Current, Sound Wave and Broken Dream are here to tease, sway and persuade. They gently beckon you to a new world of taste. Let yourself be carried away. Be enticed…

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Deep reddish chestnut with a scummy head, and an attractive cherry red gleam in the sunlight; piney, resinous, American hop aroma; grainy body with some sharp hops from the start; then a long dry, chewy, finish with green birch wood and perhaps a touch of grapefruit. A great beer, but rather flat and dull looking - perhaps an example of one of those cask beers that’s better from the keg than from the cask.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 1. Pours clearish gold with a slight, white cream head and a fleet of floaties adrift in the liquid. Nose of citrus, lemon and ginger. Light to medium sweet flavor with light floral notes, juniper, orange, lemon and light pine needles. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry to finish with some orange and other citrus peel, along with flowers. A nice take on the IPA. Good.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 1. Pours oily black with little head. Burnt wood nose with light vanilla notes. Medium to big sweet flavor, oily, with rich chocolate, light wood, some booze, moderate dark fruits. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with soft mocha notes, light woody dryness. No condition here, really. The general character is nice but with better conditioning the beer could be much better.
