Description
We are Grey Trees, we are an independent brewery based in South Wales, UK. We produce a range of award winning beers and offer both a retail and wholesale trade service. We supply directly to our customers as well as to pubs, bars, and restaurants across the UK.
The name, Grey Trees, comes from the English translation of the village where the brewery was born, Llwydcoed. After a successful first few years, we moved the brewery to a larger premises, breathing new life into an old industrial unit in Aberaman, Aberdare. Although our location changed, everything involved in making the very best crafted ales stayed the same, even the local fresh Welsh water source.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 21 Nov 2024) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of grass, citrus and white bread. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, white bread, resin, fresh herbal hops and a mild citric/grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshig and highly drinkable. Nice one.

Bottle from Wales Ales. Pours amber with nice off white top. Aroma of earthy malt, caramel biscuit, dried fruits, wood. Taste follows aroma; earthy and leafy but with some dried fruity esters, some nuts and caramel. Nice prickly bitterness. Reasonable crispness helped by a high fine carbonation. Good bitter.

Bottle from Wales Ales. Pours a clear amber with nice consistent off-white head with lacing. Aroma and taste of apricot, biscuit like malt, straw, something between floral and grassy; nice freshness. Its got a very good bittersweet balance, fruity with a medium body, reasonably smooth and fine carbonation. Great bitter.

Three hand pulled pints at the Wrekin Inn, while helping out with the Christmas Quiz on 10th December 2024. Poured a clean and clear pale golden colour, decent white crown that hung around each time I had a pint. Pleasant fruity feel without going 'over the top' flavour wise, easy going bitterness and a semisweet malty vibes, liked it.

Grassy and zesty hoppiness in-mouth with biscuit malts.grassiness and maltiness harmonise throughout the finish. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel. Exquisite.
