Description
We opened our doors in Brixton in mid 2013 with the aim of teaching Londoners how to make beer. We have expanded operations at this site to offer up to 30 draught lines featuring our commercially available beers, exclusive nano brews and guest beers plus a large stock of cans and bottles to take home. We remain one of the very few venues in London to stock home brewers with hops, malt and yeast.

Tap at the lab. Aroma is cold brew coffee dominated. Dark. Not glossy. More just liquid. Beige head clings to the rim. Flavour ex9ands matters: the sweet nutty peanut butter leads followed by coffee and coffee berries. Choc AWOL? Light-medium bodied . Slick verging on oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Not overly exciting Impy Stout, despite the intention.

Keg at the lab. Aroma is intense - abrasive citrus and a stone fruit (inaccurate- fruits confuse me). Opaque copper gold. Massive fluffy foamy white head. That big bolsh6 adduakt your taste buds fruit is in the rumble. Underlying yeast. A raw burn. Light. Watery.. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Big and fruity with rather rough edges. Fitting prior to a NOFX gig.

Keg at the lab. Aroma combines fruit and herbs. Waxy. Extremely milky coffee. A few translucent white bubbles cling to the glass. Fruity. A big fruit and sour streak. I guess that's hop burn assaulting my throat. Underlying... was going to say porridge... but guess it's r8ce pudding. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Slightly chalky residue. Long very astringent finish. Nice if rough with its effections.

Keg at Tap 13, Tooting. Dirty dark gold and hazy with a loose white head. Light grassy aroma, some tropical fruit. Sweet taste, some more tropical hop. A bit homebrew-esque messiness. More bitterness in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Okay but was hoping for better.

Keg draught at Tap 13, Tooting Market. Light yellow gold, clear with a small white head. Clean sweet aroma with a touch of lemon. Taste is sweet without being saccharine, light bitterness on the finish. Thin body with heavy carbonation. Not a bad pils.

Half-pint, 3.8 % abv, draught at Grumpy Goat, shared with Finn. Clear amber body, film-type layer leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Quite inviting grass-malty aromas. Mixed taste of grassy hops, earthy malts, and bread. Distant bittersweet finish. Satisfying. (Reading, 01.10.2023).
