Description
We are always busy creating taste sensations, always looking for improvements or new flavours and optimizing our beers. Our beer is pronounced, complex, balanced, often full and soft in texture. We don’t brew beer for everyone, we only brew beer for people who love pronounced flavours. We do this by constantly tinkering with our recipes in search of perfection, we want to brew beer that is considered legendary. One has to tell stories about how great the beer of the Moersleutel is. Anyone who drinks our beer must be spoiled for life and must want nothing more.

Bottle shared massive thanks to sjogro. Black with big dark beige head. Sweet coffee, hazelnuts, vanilla, light red berries, dry whisky notes, dark chocolate, grapes, light dusty old wood, almonds. Medium sweet and bitter with some tannins and dry sharp finish. Full bodied with low carbonation and a bit dry feel. Nice aroma but it’s a little sharp and dry.

Bottle. Color: Black, thin light brown head. Taste: Dark chocolate, pretty smooth, bitter notes, earthy. Clear notes of cinnamon and something else (I presume the tonka beans, but I don’t know how these beans taste). Especially at the end a pretty stronge taste and mouthfeel of tobacco. Full body and below medium carbonation. Pretty unusual taste, nice beer and glad that I had the opportunity to taste one, but only for once in a while.

37cl bottle at home. Very dark brown pour, visibly viscous, with a thin, fine-grained tan head. Notes of peated whiskey, roasted malts, smoke, ash, dark cherries, bitter espresso, with a warming whiskey finish. Smooth texture, medium body and a bitter, roasty aftertaste. One more solid beer from De Moersleutel, I am really enjoying their stuff!
