Cask handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury Thursday 5th October 2017. Golden in colour with a tiny bit of haze, a light filmy head sits atop. Crisp, refreshing and with a swift dry finish. Lovely beer and fantastic for the abv, really hoppy and a very nice session beer in the mould of Dark Star Hophead. Wonderful. A6 A4 T7 P4 OV14 3.6

Cask handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Wednesday 23rd August 2017 Mid amber in colour with a filmy white head, good fruity bitter, I’m not sure that the IPA description quite covers this, it’s never an IPA, it’s more of a hoppy bitter, however let me point out it’s a jolly decent one at that. The ginger sits in the background you very occasionally notice it’s presence, there is a late but nice light honey sweetness. Very enjoyable beer, I could quite happily have a few of these. Cask @ Gunmakers, Marylebone, London. Dark clear reddish-brown, tastes like a solid golden pale ale. If the lights were out you wouldn’t initially think this is dark in colour. Has some light dry fruity notes.
