Hazy gold, an inch of bright off-white head. Some lacing. Honeyed citrus aroma. Somewhat fizzy mouthfeel. A soft, gentle and moody APA. Deserves rather than demands attention. Subtle and balanced. Could stay that way with slightly more assertive bitterness.

Bottle at Chriso’s Kook Tasting 09. Dark brown, lasting beige. Decent mild. Some hop. It’s ok.

330ml bottle. Pours burnt toffee with a well-retained soft beige head. Lacing all the way down the glass. Burnt sugars, piney hops, brewed coffee and berries. Taste is coffee, cocoa and nuts. Has a full yeasty mouthfeel. I’m not getting either the thinness or sweetness that some others here have reported - mine’s dry and quite rich. It was at the porter end of brown ale. It would seem that this one has been a bit all over the shop, but this bottle is very good. [3.7]Bottle. Dark brown with a huge beige head. Aroma of singed dark sugars, grass, coffee and pine. Excessively carbonated. Taste is dry with coffee and cocoa, light roasted malt, a little pine. Some overt bitterness at the end. Good once I got most of the bubbles out.

Caramel amber pour with a small fading head.Loads of fresh pungent hops first up on the nose, with citrus underneath as well as some tangy lemon. Sweet clean malt follows with some faint caramel.Lots of caramel flavours, followed by a green citrusy hop finish.Medium-rich body, nice light carbonation.Very refreshing.

330 ml bottle courtesy of alagnak. This was lableed as Moo Brew Hefeweizen, I assume this is the beer. Pour is couldy yellow golden with a frothy 1 1/2 inch white head. Aroma of mild banana fruit and bubble gum sweetness. Both express in a pretty generic hefe manner. The wheat is present, though also subdued. Taste is a bunch of sweet banana up front, almost an unnatural banana sweet, then it turns a touch citric, then it gives in to the mineral earthy wheat. The tail end of this beer was actually pretty nice, if it wasn’t overpowered by the sweet banana up front. The yeast turns a bit dirty in the finish, with a weird dirty clove thing going on. Palate is medium to full, though still quite easy drinking. Thanks for hauling this one back and sending it my way Chris.

330 ml bottle from alagnak. Pour is heavy haze golden darker yellow with a nice two inch white head that falls with nice patchy lacing. Aroma of mineral earthy slight resin ane pineapple citrus hop. Taste is dirty mineral earthiness with nutty malt and the resin and citrus hop. Nice balance between the malt and hop. Palate is medium to light, mid carbonation. Finish is flinty, sharp mineral (bordering on metallic) and dry. Palate highlights the very unfiltered nature of this one. I really loved the bottle shape on this. Dark copper pour, small chalky head. I’ve never seen such a contrast between the head and the actual beer.Aroma is hop-centred: grapefruit and green/grassy notes. I’m guessing there was a fair whack of dry hopping. Some toasty/nutty/caramel notes are present in the background.Flavour is more malt oriented: toasty, almost roasted, with some more nutty hints. Some green hops present. The mix of hoppy/roasted bitterness lingers. A bit thin.Both body and carbonation are slightly lacking.I was quite impressed with this, even if it is a bit thin.

Bottle. Cloudy pale straw. Slight head that disappears quickly. Pleasant but slight aroma. Authentic hefeweizen taste - sour, fruity with yeasty finish. Low carbonation.
