Bottled. Orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is citrusy, some slight alcohol, mild spices and yeast along with some slight sweet maltiness as well. Flavour is spices, yeast, quite much sweet fruits along with some herbs and mild sweet maltiness. Still a bit simplistic to be a very good tripel. Somewhat mouthdrying palate.

Bottle. An almost clear one, reddish dark brown in color and with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has some chocolate, but it’s the coffee that does most of the work. Some faint notes of dms in the far back. Lacking some on complexity maybe, but it’s nice anyway. The flavor is pretty much the same, but the Belgian heritage shines through with white sugar and a yeasty hint. Full to medium body, semi dry and with a pleasant carbonation level. Coffee dominates the finish. Quite nice this one, but nothing more. 140111

Bottle. As Double Port. It pours a clear, dark reddish brown body under a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma is roasted and cellarish, with prunes and dried figs, some alcohol too. Almost vinous. The flavor isn’t equally interesting and complex, but still quite nice. Prunes and dried figs and some alcohol warmth. Full body and a pleasant carbonation, with a little warming touch. Some dms in the finish, where it’s mostly dried fruits showing up. A bit short finish. Pity the flavor isn’t in the same league as the aroma, but it’s a nice one anyway. 140111
