440ml can. Pours a very dark brown almost black, with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, caramel, roast. Taste of dark malts, chocolate, caramel, liquorice, dried fruits, moderate roast and slightly ashy bitterness. Medium bodied. Good one.

Can consumed at Hereford Beer House Saturday 18th October 2025 in the company of Baz and Isobel. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. A very good festbier in truth it's a bit on the bitter side for the style but I actually like that, it's edgy with a good mouthfeel, there's a streaky citrus touch. Good but maltiness is definitely taking a back seat here.

Nice beer, pretty well balanced, notes of dry biscuits, soft bitter hay. Clean and lightly drying finish, a nip of pale grain, bread, biscuit. Easygoing.

Tight white head on a murky dull golden coloured body.
Citrus & malt aroma.
Medium bodied, foamy & cloying.
Light malt, wet paper, grain & citrus tastes.
Severely lacking in hops.

Keg at the 100 Club, Oxford Street, London whilst watching the excellent Skating Polly. Pale yellow with a light haze, a middling fizz and a white head. Notes of white bread before a crisp, grassy, mildly bitter finish. Bang on style albeit maybe a tad muted. Clean and easy drinking; a well executed brew.

An accidental beer, having tried to take Adnams Spruce Ale off the shelf I decided to take it from the rear of the shelf as to not mess-up the supermarket workers' display efforts, but this one must have been lurking on the wrong level and I only realised once home. Nevertheless it's a decent hoppy lager, plenty of flavour, fair nose, lingering aftertaste, slightly dry but quite crisp at the same time.

(Can) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, slightly hoppy nose with notes of bread, grain, citrus, hay and herbal hops. Malty taste with bread, grain, grass, citrus and a balanced herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Refreshing and well balanced. Nice one.

440ml can. Clear golden, white head. Aroma of grains, bready malts. Taste is all bready malt and grains, light grassy hop, crisp and clean, light bitterness. Light bodied. It's good, just seems a bit basic for L&G. Perhaps intentional.

440ml can from Waitrose, in Bath, England. Pours a hazy gold color with a bright white head and good retention. Decent lacing. Light bready aroma. Pretty standard pale lager flavor, with less bready notes than the aroma. Really clean, smooth, and refreshing. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Very enjoyable.
