Bottle shared in London - from the brewery. Pours clear deep brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has some green pepper, cocoa, roast. Medium to big sweet flavor, some sugary chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Big sugary finish, lots of bread, chocolate, some berries. Pretty OK.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours dark brown with a small tan head. The nose is rich roast, earthy, dark chocolate, cocoa, toffee, rocky road, dark fruits and dark fruits. The taste is rich roast, chewy, coffee, oily, rocky road, dried fruits, dark fruits, cocoa, boozy boost, toffee and toasty brown sugar with a roasty, warming finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Sticky mouth-feel. Decent, but nowhere near their pales.

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Dark chocolate and espresso aromas. Sweet and creamy with dark chocolate and dark roasted coffee front to back and into the warming finish. Becomes a little cloying as it is so sweet; but very well made.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Pineapple, mango and salty funk aromas. Medium bodied with sweet pineapple and passionfruit upfront turning to mango before the lasting earthy pith finish.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Mango, yeast and tangerine aromas. Thick to medium bodied with sweet caramel and dough upfront turning pineapple and papaya before the medium length syrupy resin finish. Not the same improvement to the base that I found with the El Dorado dry hop...

Bottle shared at craft beer co clerko. Thanks to Leighton for this one. Translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a thin white head. Atoms is huge dank hop, onion, spicy tropical fruit, some alcohol presence. Really vibrant and juicy on the nose. Flavour is composed of big huge juicy hop juice, pineapple, dank hop, semi sweet, little onion. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, sticky on the tongue, drying finish. Super good. Seriously good.

Same as the Centennial version in all aspects (being the same batch with different dry hops, I assume) and that same annoying powdered sugar aroma and flavor that is heavily off-putting. It’s drinkable, and not overly offensive, just gets too sweet, with table sugar, canned peaches and moderate citrus. Loose carbonation and a watery texture. Belgian to the extent that the esters are very fruity and there’s, perhaps, a very mild acidity. But in all aspects just a messy Americanized hop-forward, under attenuated strong ale. Large white head recedes fairly rapidly to cover. Orange-gold body is lightly hazy. Not sure if the lighter hop notes here (versus the centennial version’s heavier acidity) benefit or detract. In some ways, the higher alpha acid presence of the centennial cut in to some of the sweetness, which was a good thing. Either/or, it’s just masking faults in a beer that needs a big overhaul.

Growler thanks to Leighton! It pours clear golden-orange with a small white head. The nose is soft, juicy, juicy fruit chewing gum, passion fruit, peachy, mango, candied peel, pissy hops and some bread. The taste is crisp, bitter, juicy, minerals, straw, passion fruit, mango, peach, apricot, grassy/dank aspect and light alcohol boost with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Juicy and damn crushable. A hell of a beverage.

Bottle split at the 9.49 CBC boost tasting, Clerko, 03/06/15 thanks to LKS. Hazed orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is earthy hops, pine needle, tangerine, touch of bread dough, bitter orange. Taste comrpises melon, pine, soft bread, light spice, manarin, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with hop bitterness. Solid IPA if not standout.
