On tap. Pours an opaque dark brown - close to black - with a small light brown head. The aroma has a little metal but also dried, overripe fruit. Good rich body, chocolate notes, discreet roastiness, again dark, dried and overripe fruits. Light hoppiness in the finish. A very enjoyable and satisfying brew. 160811

Cask at GBBF 2011. An amber coloured pour with a small off white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus fruit, bitter, malty and dry. Slightly unbalanced for me but still very drinkable.

Bomber from Porterhouse! First rating! Thanks tons Kevin for the bomber of an unrated BA Scotch Ale. Bottle # 204 Bottling Date 12/21/10 Nose is oaky vanilla, light bourbon, golden raisin pie, sweetness, and a flowery nectar note. Clear brown with a big tan, lightly lacing head. Flavor is lightly sweet, raisins, a hint of burbony alcohol and vanilla, with some woody oak; finish has a hint of bitterness and a touch of smoke. Excellent stuff! Wish I had a case!
