CP&K. Very hazy deep amber beer. Tidy cream coloured head. Palate is soft but with prickly carbonation. Minerals. Creamy and even malt base. Marmalade orange hops, a little sweet. Trace of tropical fruits with mango and peach syrup. A little alcohol spice in the semi soft dry finish. Not bad but some more hops would have been good.

Draft @ Novare Res. Dirty amber color with full head, good retention in the Tulip. Nose is a tantalizing mix of fresh grapefruit, malt and tropical fruit. Taste is a winner! Juicy, wet hops. Malts give it a sweeter touch and make it balanced. Pine needles and the resin show up as it warmed. ABV is hidden quite well. Mild lingering bitterness. Highly drinkable. I would recommend. Nice.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Unclear dark orange color, small white head that leaves good lacing. Smell hops and a lot of pine, medium fruity. Taste is very pleasant: very hoppy, lots of pine, lots of bitter. Medium carbo and body, so not hard to drink even though it’s got 10%ABV. Very nice!

On tap at the Craft. Opaque dark red beer with a small off white head. Smooth palate with fine prickly carbonation. This one has some body! Sweet malt, slightly syrupy. Robust malt without roast or bitterness. A distinctly strawberry note underneath. All in great balance with piney hops. Blackcurrant note towards the finish which is smooth and semi dry. Mild aniseed alcohol. Interesting beer, not had anything quite like it!

Draught at Cask Pub and Kitchen, London. Near black, minimal head. Heavy treacle and caramel aroma. Super sweet and mega-sticky with flavours of butter, fudge and sugar. The massive sweetness in combination with the excessive alcohol creates a highly unpleasant burning sensation, like saccharine sweetener and diesel. Zero drinkability, no enjoyment.
