Description
Marshall Wharf Brewing Company is a locally owned and operated craft brew-pub located on Marshall’s Wharf in beautiful Belfast Bay. The brewery is housed in a historic waterfront building (circa 1890) that served as the city granary. The brewery sits next to its partner business, Three Tides bar and tapas restaurant, which offers waterfront dining and a stunning beer garden.

A clear dark brown bock with a thick brown head. In aroma, good oily molasses, dark fruits, chocolate, light acidic points. In mouth, a nice and smooth bock with chocolate, acidic points, coffee grinds, surprising. Rich and balanced. On tap at Novare Res, April 2 2010.

on tap-pours a tan ring for a head that quickly disappears and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty, earthy. Taste is dark fruit-raisin, dark malt-roasty/chocolate, earthy, nail polish/varnish/acidity over powere throughout, alcohol.

on nitro-pours a retaining light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty/peat/molasses. Taste is dark malt-peat/chocolate/coffee, secondary earthy hops. Dry. Not my taste.

on tap-pours an off white head with some lacing and amber color. Aroma is a nice pine/resin hops, some malt. Taste is lots of resin/pine hops-bitter, some medium malt, alcohol. Towards medium body with slightly slick mouth feel.
