Pours mahogany into a snifter. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim leaving slight lacing. Chocolate aromas. Crisp yet creamy. Christmas spices, pit fruit and chocolate. Toasty hop finish. Nice winter warmer, but I’m only good for one...

A red copper ale with a thin creamy white head. A nice caramel malt with pungeant light hops, some wild berries. In mouth, a nice nutty malt with restrained floral hops. Medium bodied. On tap at Hop Devil Grill, Nov. 2006. 3$ pint.

Bottled. Hazy golden, rich head. Blueberry pie aroma. Sweet and mkedium bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Like blueberry pie with vanilla custard. Low bitterness. I believe the brewmaster has succeeded in his ambitions, but I’m not sure I like where (s)he’s going.

Pours deep dark with brown edges and thin tan head. The aroma is light with smooth dark roastiness and some burnt malts too. The taste starts with a pleasing smoothness bringing in burnt malts and mild roastiness. It ends with a very tasty roasted malt to burnt malt sensation and then rounded out with some dry malt astringency. Nice stuff.

12 oz bottle-pours a dissipating white head and cloudy orange/gold color. Aroma is fruit/citrus, wheat/light malt. Taste is tart citrus-lemon rind/spicy-bitter hops (Amarillo, hallertau), wheat/light malt. A bit weird but nice. Semi dry finish. Some caramel as it warms.
