… and England have failed to qualify for the World Cup, 2 Unlimited are Top of the Pops with their dance smash No Limit, Shane Warne has bowled the ‘Ball of the Century’ and Rooster’s Brewing Co. has just hatched - forever changing the shape of beer in the UK. Originators and innovators of quality, new world pale ales, with an emphasis on flavour and aroma, our beers start to stand out and turn heads amongst a sea of brown beer, with Yankee (our flagship pale ale) leading the way.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 4th April 2025. Slightly hazy amber with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Malty aroma with a little pungency. Leafy hops and caramel malt in-mouth, and a grassy finish of some bitterness. Zingy mouthfeel and a fair amount of body.

"Crop rotation in the 14th century was considerably more widespread after John". Might have helped the hops industry. These ones are very fruity, lots of tropical notes. Not overdone here, although its hidden strength might also have a subduing effect.

Beer Number 20 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 8 of 30 still untried plus one of the two variations on the previously tried. You can really taste the hop in this one, lots of sweetish tropical fruit, slightly more stated in taste than aroma.
