Draught. Black with a hint of brown and a tan head. Aroma is thin metallic malt. Flavour is ash, a bit sour, dry tart finish, very dry palate. More a burnt schwarzbier than a Dunkel.

Vom Faß in der Schloßplatz-Brauerei (Moll war leider aus). - Blaßgelb, sehr trüb. - Hefige, mild fruchtige Nase. - Antrunk dito: leicht zitronige Hopfennoten, grüne Äpfel, aber durch Hefe abgemildert oder vielmehr ausgebremst. Mild rezent, etwas wäßrig; leerer Körper. Schwach krautig-herber Abgang; mäßig dumpf-bitterer, unaromatischer Nachtrunk mit seifiger Note und unangenehm harschem Nachhall, der mich noch 5 Minuten nach dem letzten Schluck verfolgte. - Typische Gasthausbrauereien-Plörre: zu hefig und viel zu grün. Süffig aber anspruchslos.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, light to moderate hoppy, light licorice. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration.
