(Draught at he brewpub, Berlin, 22 July 2010) Very dark brown colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with dark bread and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark bread and caramel. Medium body, dry with a decent coffee bitterness in the finish. Enjoyable.

(Draught at the brewpub, Berlin, 22 July 2010) Golden amber colour, cloudy, with frothy beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, apricots, citrus and grassy hops. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, citrus, hay and grassy hops in a finish with a fairly mild bitterness. Clean and fresh. Nice and tasty.

Draft. An unclear amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of smoke and over ripe fruits, and hints of tar. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits as well as lighter notes of smoke and bacon, leading to a dry fruity finish, where a light smoke note lingers.

Draft. A murky brown beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is cloying with notes of over ripe fruits and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, medium notes of malt and over ripe fruits, as well as light notes of cinnamon and cloves. Weird.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy orange body with bigger yellow head. Weaker sweetish aroma, woody with some dried meat. Fine sweetish flavor, has some smoked notes, but it’s caramel and toffee dominated. Thinner in body with shorter sweetish caramel finish. Somewhat dry meat here as well, but nothing much. I would prefer a bit more smoked malt, but it’s nice beer anyway.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured slightly hazy reddish to violet body with pretty big pink head. Cherry aroma is overwhelming sweet bread malt. Cherry flavor at first, then peppery chili starts to bite. Nothing too much, just to fight with juicy cherry flavor. Medium to fuller body. In finish chili definitely wins and stays in the mouth for quite long time but sour-sweet cherry remains as well. Not overly strong and very drinkable chili beer, actually the first I enjoyed.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured nice, murky dark brown body with smaller brownish head. Weak, but very nice coffee and unpasteurized hop aroma. Flavor is really nice malty, sweetish caramel balanced with fine coffee malt, which is bitter to sourish. Fuller in body with long sourish coffee and sweetish chocolate to toffee finish. Full, tasty, very pleasant, in my taste, this was the best beer at the place.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured cloudy yellow body with medium sized head. Light lemony hop aroma, some weak fruity wheat yeast. Sweet chalky, bubblegum and banana flavor with slightly sour lemon. Very nice but pretty watery. Thinner to medium body. Shorter watery lemony finish. Pretty fine and very interesting, but a bit too light weizen-like specialty grain.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured dark brown, hazy body with small tan head. Caramel and roasted sugar aroma, little bit of unpasteurized hops. Caramel and nice coffee malt in aroma, well balanced, even slightly more to bitter side. Some strange side-note but I wouldn’t say curry. Medium to fuller body with slight herbal bitterness in the finish. Interesting and fine schwarzbier ale experiment.
