Bottle at ChrisO Snow tasting. It pours hazy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, vanish, wood polish, dried berry and subtle orange peel. The taste is wood, leather, varnish, spice, tangy fruit, wood polish, orange peel and light alcohol warmth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit restrained in the flavour department, but not bad.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - thanks to someone, but I’m not sure who. Pours clear, red-amber with a fine, white cream head. Some dry fruits on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with tangy fruits, dry leaves. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly dry to finish with tangy fruits, berries. It’s OK, but seems a little bland.

Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, toasted - caramel, light hoppy, fruity, tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111206]

Bottled (ordered from som webshop). Hazy reddish amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some floral and fruity notes along with mild grassyness. Flavour is caramel malts, some toffee, mild floral and fruity hops along with some sap and resiny notes. Nice bitterness in the finish.

Cask. Orangeish golden colour with a small off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is bready and caramelly malts, mild toffee as well as some herbal and wooden notes. Flavour is rather similar with mild resiny notes as well as some slight nuttyness.

Cask at the Pig’s Ear 2011, London. Pours clear gold with a fine head. Apple juice nose. Light sweet flavor, juicy, with some hay bitterness. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet, apple-esque juice finish. Odd, though still drinkable.
