Mixed pack bought in Vermont. Pours a clean amber colour with a fizzy head that does not stay long. A small ring is left because of the heavy carbonation. Aroma of caramel malts with decent hops. Hints of nuts. A lot of the same for the taste, but watered down. Hoppy finish with mild bitterness. An average red ale. Sandlike residue at the bottom. Not sure if normal.

Purchased bottle at Tops in Vermont on my trip there. Pours a black-brown colour with a mocha head that lasts pretty long for such a high alcohol content. Decent foamy lacing. Aromas of raisins and grape, from the dark fruits of the malt to the mild wine barrel contribution. Some nuttiness, but mostly sweetness. This one has a higher hop factor them most of this style, so more bitter with some good dryness. Roasted malts, apples, dark fruits and coffee in the finish. Hints of chocolate. A pretty solid aged Impy stout.

Tap at Reservoir, Waterbury. Colour is clear dark copper with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some dry fruits, some sweetness and malts. Very boring. I don’t get point of this one.

Can thanks to Josh. Pours a hazy orange with a small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong pine and dank. Medium mouth, pineapple, dank, resin finish, very good.

Bottle at home in CT. Pours lightly hazy, deep gold with a dense, foamy off-white head. The nose has lots of ripe mango, apricot, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with light alcohol boost, juicy citrus, more mango, some papaya, mellow piney bitterness. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming in the finish with notes of orange rind, oily pine, mango, peach, melon. A good and punchy IPA.

Bottle@Tuesday Taphouse Bottle Share, Copenhagen - fuzzy golden coloured pour with good sized white puffy head. Fruity and malty aroma and taste, some nice big peachy and grapefruit hits, splash of lemon and clementine, some caramel malty sweetness, some pine needles, hoppy bitter finish. Nice drop.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a bronzed to burnt orange to almost brown color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipated. Slim glossy lacing clings to the sides of the glass.
The smell had bitter pine up front with a light orange rind-like bitter hoppy quality about it. Lemon rind with a light dried citrus pulp bleeds into the overall aroma.
The taste was moderately bitter with a nice sweet underscore of the pine into the aftertaste and leaving a dry citrus rind-like finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation seemed good for a DIPA and still allowing a nice bitter harshness as a DIPA to pound on my tongue.
Overall, for a DIPA, well, what’s not to love, of course it’s good and Rock Art is finally finding their niche for the style! Kudos to those guys!

Tap, at the brewery. Amber colour. Lightly hazy. Thin, off white head. Resinous nose. Caramel. Some citric fruitiness. Hint of flora. Taste is rich sweet. Light bitterness. Full body. Soft fizz. Finishes fruity, sweet, rich bitter. I thought this was a big IPA, until I saw the deScription. I don’t think I was far wrong, mind you. Tasty gear.
