Tap, at the brewery. Dark pink. Barely a head. Blackcurrant on the nose. Bready and yeasty. Light tang to it. Taste is fresh, light, and tangy. Very clean and light. Not loads going on, but it’s perfect at 9:15 in the morning! Could actually drink it’s of this. Very crisp.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a light yellow color with a fast rising carbonation to hit a quickly dissipating slim foamy to bubbly white head. No lacing appeared around the glass.
The smell started off with a blend of coriander, orange peel and light biscuits/breadiness. Black pepper slides into balance.
The taste was moderately spicy with a slight sweetness underneath from the breadiness. It has a moderately sweet/semi-spicy aftertaste with no finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a really nice sessionability about it. Carbonation hits my tongue really light allowing the breadiness to smooth things out. Spices of the black pepper and coriander end up striking just enough in the harshness department.
Overall, this was a nice witbier that would definitely pair well with its respected food.

2014 bottle.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a hazy dark bronzed orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about less than thirty seconds. Filmy/semi-thick lacing runs in a messy sort of way around the glass.
The smell starts off with a sweet breadiness running into light raisin, sweet apple, a light vanilla, and sweet cherry. Caramel tones do run nicely underneath.
The taste takes the previously mentioned flavors and uses them to smooth it all out emphatically sweet and barely any bitterness (as a bock should be!, but then again, this is an aged review as well). Creamy sweet apple to cherry and a slight little bit of cocoa aftertaste running into a sweet wet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation runs nice and smooth (really light/good).
Overall, this is a really good Bock made for the holidays. I can only imagine what its like fresh and can’t wait for RA to come out with this year’s batch.

Bottom of the can stamped \"09/22/15 Thor,\" don’t ask me what \"Thor\" means, but here’s the rest of my thoughts.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates fairly quickly. The lace just rims the entire upper part of the glass in a full thin glaze.
The smell starts off with a sweet dank onion leading on to a grassy sweet bitterness. Fully bittersweet bursting with juicy citrus and piney hops just pummeling my nose.
The taste was fully bittersweet through the previously mentioned flavors and running the gamut in the aftertaste of sweet to bitter and dankiness (really sticky).
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body. I’d say its a good sipper with a nice oily smooth stickiness clinging to my tongue.
Overall, DIPA, its good and you know what, Rock Art actually did a great job on this one. This is really good!

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy burnt golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head dissipated immediately. There wasn’t any lacing at all.
The smell started off with a sweet pine allowing some citrus to slide in to balance. Caramel backbone plays a delicate part allowing a sweet aroma.
The taste was moderately sweet carrying a dry bitterness to clam up my tongue a bit.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Bitterness is there yet dry on my tongue.
Overall, I don’t mind it but it’s nothing over the top.

Tap at Warden Hall, Boston. It pours lightly hazy golden - amber with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, pissy hops, soft orange, mango, tangerine, straw and light grass. The taste is smooth, bitter, stewed orange, mango, peach, pissy hops, toasty grass, touch of alcohol and light pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Not bad. Drinks easy anyhow.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of maple syrup, malt, spices, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, maple syrup, wheat, caramel, and spices, leading to a dry finish.

Tap ar Positive Pie, Montpelier. It pours cloudy deep orange with a decent white head. The nose is soft, juicy, tangy orange citrus, mango, candied peel and some Irn Bru. It pours crisp, bitter, tangy orange, juicy, mango, peach, stewed fruits, light spice, mild astringency and light alcohol boost with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty juicy and orangey. Not bad at all.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a soft hazy orange color with a light transparency about it. Subtle carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace. There was about a finger’s worth of subtle white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing was few and far between.
The smell started off dried pine bitter and sweet through nice crisp tones.
The taste was basically the same as the aroma with a semi-dry to crisp aftertaste leading to a decent bitter bite in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation hits the spot allowing the bitterness to be the harshness hitting my tongue appropriately.
Overall, as an AIPA it works. I’d have this again.
