Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a slim finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a gentle pace. Mild lacing ran around the glass in a messy sort of way.
The smell started off with a mild sweet to rustic sort of crisp coffee tones running into some bitter piney hops.
The flavor takes the bitter portion of the piney hops and leads on further into the bbitterness of the coffee tones. Big bitter piney to coffee aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation seemed fairly strong but still allowing enough harshness from the bitter hops and coffee tones to cling to my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good black IPA that I could have again. And the alcohol level really wasn’t felt.

Can shared by Puboflyons, thanks for the opportunity! Cloudy light golden color with a bubbly white head that leaves spotty lace. Resinous herbal pine resin hoppiness. Sweet bready malt with a hint of alcohol. Nice

Growler from Rt 116 Wine and Spirits.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy pale orange color. Messy lacing.
The smell started off with sweet grapefruit pulp, subtle sweet grassiness, delicate floral undertones, sticky citrus pith.
The flavor takes all of the previously mentioned aromas to combine nicely. Dry grapefruit edgy aftertaste and quick dry finish (more rind-like).
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation felt good for the style. Some bitterness does hit appropriately with a \"grapefruity\" rind-like feel.
Overall, Rock Art says grapefruit IPA, and I’d say, yes, it is. Rind, pulp and pith all come together nicely. I’d have again.

Bottom of the can stamped 05/17/16.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a rusty burnt bronzed orange/brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Spider web lacing wove here and there all around the glass. Tried to stick, but slid for the most part.
The smell had the normal \"RA\" sweet (almost sugary) malt bill up front with a decent allowance of bitter grapefruit rind and sweet lemon pulp combining nicely.
The taste was the bitter portion of the grapefruit rind initially and then the sweetness of the malt and lemon pulp. It doesn’t seem to come together and seems to be tasted at different times. Rind seems to grind into my tongue in the aftertaste. Super dry rind-like finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with that grinding bitterness really hitting my tongue super harshly.
Overall, to me, it seems the \"malt bill\" seemed to be pretty heavy for trying to be a \"session IPA.\" Just because the \"ABV\" is lower doesn’t necessarily mean its going to be a \"session IPA.\" The mouthfeel just seems really different. Flavor and aroma seems to show a decent effort, but for the most part, I can’t really see myself coming back to this.

This was poured into a pilsner glass.
The appearance was a glossy burnt orange color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising towards a quickly dissipating one finger white foamy head. Mild foamy white lacing stuck around the glass and then slid nicely.
The smell started off with some sweet biscuit/breadiness. Subtle sweet grassy hops slide in for the balance.
The taste was mildly sweet with the grassy hops making a decent effort to balance. Super light biscuity aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good for a pilsner. Nothing wrong with it.
Overall, Czech Pilsner, damn right it is and a nice one that I would be willing to come back to.

Can consumed en route to JFK on my last US trip. Pours gold with a foamy, white head. The nose has some fusel alcohol, bready pale malts, ripe melon and orange. Medium sweet flavour with strong bready malt character, some booze, minerals, gooey melon. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warming on the finish, resinous, with more heavy bread notes, rich pine, melon, orange, some rindy bitterness. A little simple and heavy handed, but not bad.

Pours a hazy amber colour with a fizzy head that disappears very quickly leaving no lace. Mild fruity malt aromas with hints of caramel and maple syrup. The maple syrup is more present in the taste. Gets stronger in the aftertaste. A little too sweet, too rich for my licking as not much other malts or wheat support this. Wish the wheat was stronger, better. Not so bad, but not something I would want to have again.

2015 edition purchased in Vermont. Pours a clean deep amber, kind of copper colour with a fizzy head that disappears quickly and no lace. Roasted grain aromas with some nuttiness and hints of fruits. The taste has the same reminding me of a more roasted and nutty malt red ale. Some decent hops in the finish creating a mild dryness. Not sure about the bock style, but as a red ale (ok, lager), pretty nice.

Purchased in Vermont in their mixed pack. Pours a clean dark amber colour, almost copper. Small head, beige with not much follow-up. Beautiful spices in the nose with the barley malt, fruitiness and hints of molasses. Fruity flavours with malt, light sweetness and decent bitter hop in the finish. Quite easy to drink. Surprised to find a barley wine in a taster pack. Glad though.

Mixed pack purchased in Vermont. Clean golden colour with a white head and good lacing. Grainy aromas with hints of honey and reminding me of a pilsner. Cereal grain taste with a little sweetness. Soda water feel. A decent golden ale that is grainy and easy-drinking.
